(What do you mean that's not a holiday?  Sez who?) I quit smoking cold turkey exactly five years ago.  Bask in my awesomeness.  :d  Hee hee.  My family treated it like a holiday, and took me out to eat. I started smoking when I was sixteen.  At the time I felt that I would just quit when I was forty, and "too old to enjoy life anyway."  Seriously.  Ten years later, at the ripe old age of 26, I had a nasty case of bronchitis that wasn't going anywhere, was coughing 'til I threw up, and sometimes coughing up blood. Fun. I tried the patch and just ended up waaay poorer. Less than a month after I quit for good, I was well again, thank God.  

I took a roll's worth of pictures of Trixie.  I've shared my favorites here.  If any of the photos I took of a lilac bush turn out I'll share them next. I'm working on typing up the first draft of a book that I hope to get finished and published someday.  I've been procrastinating about getting this typed into my computer.  I love to write, which I do longhand, but I can be lazy about the work aspect.

I turned thirty (Jan 8th) and had a good day.  I went out to lunch with my sister Melanie.  I gripe sometimes, but we're best friends.  We went shopping. I got a gorgeous music stand from my mom and my sis.
